Surrender

Grab thy soul by the hands,
drag it out to,
face you, the mirror.
what would you ask?
who are you?
how are you?
what are you?
would you have the patience?
to listen,
when it speaks,
speaks out loud,
to tell you,
It hasn’t been you for a while.
would you have the courage?
to defend thy self,
Or,
would you just surrender?
to yourself!

A thousand dreams I still believe
I'd make you give them all to me
I'd hold you in my arms and never let go..
I surrender

I would just surrender to myself and I have no qualms abt it .... not even the pretense of having the courage to fight my ownself ... now you can read this in many ways ..

that doesn't take anything away from your poetry which did make me sit and think for a while and question a lot of things ....

"emotionless"
yes, that would be the best way to describe my state after reading it.

A self confrontation, self humiliation, self juxtaposition ...

so much 'self' involved and still ... it sounds so selfless ...

How you run on ?!
Mesmerising poetry...

I often find telling myself, "you havent been you since quite a while..."

And then, decide to search for her again, within words and worlds, people and their webs....

Loved this piece. Beautiful !

this poem sent shivers down my spine. Especially the concept of surrendering to oneself.

I think you're right... we're definitely on the same spiritual/poetry plane.

Sometimes surrendering takes more courage than holding on...

Very well written! :)

Firstly,Thanks for linking my blog to yours.

Surrender to ones own self is the most difficult form of surrender, however, when done,is the most sublime form of peace.
